About Us

St Mary's Orthodox Church, Las Vegas belongs to the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (Indian Orthodox Church) and is one of the parishes under the South-West Diocese of America.

St Mary's Orthodox Church of Las Vegas was founded in July 2007. Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Yohannan Panicker , a handful of Orthodox faithfuls living in Las Vegas and Henderson areas launched an effort to have a parish in Las Vegas. The Metropolitan of the South West American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church H.G. Alexios Mar Eusebius graciously blessed the request of the ten families and declared the St. Marys Church as a parish under the South West American Diocese and appointed Rev.Fr. Yohannan Panicker as the Vicar.
